Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly looking to sign a Serie A defender in the upcoming summer transfer window.
With Jonathan Tah attracting interest from clubs in England and Bayern Munich, the German side are already preparing for his potential departure. According to Italian news outlet TMW, Leverkusen have identified Riccardo Calafiori as a potential replacement.
The 21-year-old centre-back is currently playing for Bologna, where he is under contract until June 2027. He has also attracted interest from Juventus and Inter Milan, and is valued at around €30 million by his current club.
Calafiori is a talented young defender who has made seven appearances for the Italy Under-21 team. He is comfortable on the ball and has a good range of passing, making him an attractive option for Leverkusen as they look to strengthen their defense.
