Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time record goal scorer Harry Kane has issued a message to the fans ahead of his game tomorrow.

Bayern Munich take on Arsenal at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night in the second leg of their Champions League quarter final clash.

And Harry Kane helped his side to a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium last week after finding the back of the net from the penalty spot.

Scoring against the Gunners is something which the England captain has become very much accustomed to over the years from his time at Tottenham.

He has already issued a message out to the Spurs fans who will be watching tomorrow night as they hope to see their rivals crash out of Europe.

It has been a disappointing weekend for Tottenham fans who saw Ange Postecoglou‘s side emphatically beaten by Newcastle United once again.

However, there could be some solace taken from Arsenal being dumped out of Europe at the hands of their record goal scorer.

What Harry Kane said to Tottenham fans ahead of Bayern Munich vs Arsenal

How Spurs could do with Kane back in their side right now after yet another dismal trip to the north east on the weekend.

It has been a positive campaign for Heung-min Son – on the whole – but Saturday’s display was seriously underwhelming.

As it was from the whole Spurs side, but fans will have wanted to see their senior players step up in those situations.

Yet the likes of James Maddison and Timo Werner were unable to guide Spurs to a result which would have kept them in fourth spot.

Although it was a result which saw Spurs drop down to fifth place, Aston Villa did put a major blow in Arsenal’s title hopes on Sunday.

Spurs could finish as low as fifth and potentially still qualify for the Champions League.

But Kane has been reminded by the German media that this could be made more difficult for Spurs if Bayern knock out Arsenal tomorrow night.

“I had a lot of history with Arsenal and the north London derby. It was the biggest game when I was in England but now it’s a new chapter and my focus is trying to beat a really good Arsenal side,” he said in Tuesday’s press conference.

“I know a lot of Tottenham fans will be hoping Bayern go through…”

Should Tottenham fans want Arsenal to knock out Bayern to boost the coefficient?

The large majority of Tottenham fans will have been delighted to see Villa win on Sunday to knock back the Gunners in their title charge.

So wanting Arsenal to win the greatest club competition in European football to benefit Spurs would be completely wrong for many.

The results across the three European competitions last week did not do Spurs any favours with their hopes of fifth place being a potential Champions League spot.

Liverpool’s defeat to Atalanta has made it a real challenge for Jurgen Klopp’s side to turn the tie around. The same can be said for West Ham.

Those results could have a huge blow to Tottenham’s Champions League hopes, but many will not be too fussed if it means Arsenal don’t get their hands on the prize.
