Roma open contract talks with Dybala, but release clause looms Large
Dybala to Spain: Barcelona and Atlético Madrid in battle for Argentine star

AS Roma have opened contract extension discussions with their star striker Paulo Dybala, whose current deal runs until 2025. This comes despite interest from European giants Barcelona and Chelsea.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Dybala seems happy in Rome. He’s impressed with the club’s direction and the continued involvement of a Roma legend (presumably Daniele De Rossi). This suggests Dybala feels Roma is a team with a bright future where he can win trophies.

However, a potential stumbling block exists: Dybala’s contract includes a €12 million release clause for non-Italian clubs. This low fee could tempt foreign teams to make a move for the talented Argentinian.

With Roma keen to keep Dybala and his release clause a major concern, negotiations are sure to be interesting. Will Roma be able to convince Dybala to stay long-term? Or will a tempting offer from abroad sway the striker? Only time will tell.
