Arsenal thrashed Chelsea 5-0 last night, and Declan Rice was blown away by the performance of one of his teammates.

There was a bit of a worry among the Gunners fan base going into the game yesterday. The pressure was on Arsenal to keep going after their win over Wolves last weekend, but Chelsea had done well against the big teams this season.

However, there was only one team on the pitch last night.

Arsenal absolutely battered Mauricio Pochettino‘s side and picked up a brilliant 5-0 victory. The score could’ve, and probably should’ve, been much higher.

One of Mikel Arteta‘s players had a really good game last night, and Rice seems really impressed with his performance.

Declan Rice delivers verdict on Ben White’s performance for Arsenal vs Chelsea

Almost every Arsenal player produced a fantastic performance last night.

It was very evident that the Gunners were a level above Chelsea in every department, and they completely dominated the game from start to finish.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the hosts after just four minutes, and Chelsea were really lucky to go in at the break just 1-0 down.

Arsenal turned it up in the second half, and a brace each from Ben White and Kai Havertz sealed an emphatic 5-0 win for the current Premier League leaders.

White, in particular, had a near-flawless game.

The 26-year-old was absolutely outstanding at right-back, and he combined incredibly well with Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka in the final third to cause Chelsea all sorts of problems.

On his Instagram Story after the win last night, a seemingly impressed Declan Rice posted a picture of himself with White and wrote: “What a player!”

We agree – what a player White is!

Ben White breaks personal record vs Chelsea

Ben White is arguably the most complete defender in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old Arsenal man is naturally a central defender, but since Mikel Arteta converted him into a right-back, White has taken his game to a whole new level. He is so consistent.

The Englishman is not just a good defender, but he has improved tremendously in attack as well. He can invert and tuck into midfield too, which makes him as complete as a defender can be.

Before the game last night, the most number of goals White had scored in a single season was two. He found the net twice last night to take his tally to four for the season, which is his personal best.

At this rate, we won’t be surprised if White manages to add a couple more goals to his tally before the season ends next month
