Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a plan to fend off Real Madrid’s interest in one of the most talented young players at the club.

The Gunners’ academy is one of the best in Europe.

We have been producing hugely talented young players for a long, long time, but over the last few years, that number has increased significantly.

Bukayo Saka is the biggest talent we’ve produced recently, while the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah are all Hale End graduates as well.

We have a number of other brilliant teenagers coming through the ranks now too – Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly spring to mind.

There is one other Arsenal youngster who is blowing everyone away. He’s so good that Real Madrid want to sign him this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s plan for Arsenal’s Chido Obi-Martin amid Real Madrid interest

Arsenal youngster Chidozie Obi-Martin has become a superstar in recent weeks.

The 16-year-old has been playing under Jack Wilshere in his U18s side this season, and his performances there have been unbelievable.

Obi-Martin is being viewed by people inside Arsenal as one of the best talents Hale End has ever had, and he is attracting some big interest.

Arsenal cannot tie him down to a professional contract until he turns 17, but clubs in other countries can do it straight away.

FootballTransfers claim that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are two clubs who are keeping tabs on the Arsenal teenager right now.

The Gunners, however, are desperate to keep hold of him, and Mikel Arteta has a plan to convince him to stay.

The report claims the Arsenal boss is planning to take young Obi-Martin on the club’s pre-season tour this summer along with the senior squad.

It has been claimed that ‘Arteta is so taken by the player that he wants to integrate him into the first-team squad’ this summer.

Chido Obi-Martin’s record this season will blow you away

If you don’t know what Chido Obi-Martin has done over the last few weeks, you’re in for a big shock.

The teenager first came to the spotlight after scoring 10 goals in a single game against Liverpool for the club’s U16s side earlier this season.

Then, after Jack Wilshere promoted him to the Arsenal U18s team, he just exploded.

Obi-Martin, in 17 games in the U18 Premier League, has scored a staggering 29 goals. 25 of those have come in the last eight games.

The youngster has just been unplayable recently, and it’s no surprise at all that clubs like Real Madrid are looking to sign him.

We just hope Mikel Arteta can convince him to stay.
