Darren Bent has named the Newcastle United player he would love Mikel Arteta to sign for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have a very good and strong squad, but there is always room for improvement.

An area that Arsenal are actively looking to improve upon is attack. The Gunners want to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has named the striker he would love Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to sign this summer.

Bent, who is an Arsenal fan, has urged the Gunners to consider a move for Alexander Isak.

Isak scored twice for Newcastle United against Tottenham Hotspur this past weekend. The 24-year-old striker, who cost the Magpies £63 million in transfer fees (Sky Sports), has scored 17 goals in 21 Premier League starts this season.

Bent said about Isak on talkSPORT (4:40 pm, April 15, 2024): “Again, I am not saying that they are the same, but the way he finishes, that side foot, is like Thierry, just caress it into the far corner.

“But yeah, if there was one centre-forward out there you said who should Arsenal buy, it’s him.”

When asked how much he would go for this summer, Bent said: “£80-100 million, and I would happily pay it.”

The pundit added about Isak: “He can do everything. He can take the ball in tight spaces, he can create, he can even come off the left.”

Alexander Isak is in demand

Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has done well for Newcastle United.

There have been injury problems for Isak, but when fit and available, the Sweden international has been superb for the Magpies.

The 24-year-old striker has scored 27 goals and given two assists in 46 Premier League matches so far in his career.

Isak is a player in demand, and it will be interesting to see if Newcastle are able to keep him if they get bids.

HITC reported in March that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the Swede. We also revealed last month that Paris Saint-Germain have shown an interest in Isak.
