TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has responded to Ollie Watkins after recent comments by the Aston Villa forward.

Watkins, who scored in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend, said that being dismissed by pundits made him perform better.

He referenced Jordan dismissing Villa's chances of winning ahead of the game between the two sides in the Premier League on Sunday.

Posting on X, Jordan said: “Fair comment!"

“It was all a secret motivational tool," he added, with a winking face emoji.

“I like to think all the nice things I've said about Mr Watkins over the years have also been heard."
