United threw away their lead against Burnley in the Premier League

How the Man Utd players rated in their Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley in the Premier League after a late penalty cancelled out Antony’s goal.

Erik ten Hag named an unchanged side from the team that twice came from behind to defeat Sheffield United in midweek, with Mason Mount returning to the bench in place of Habeeb Ogunneye for the only squad change.

It was a bright start to the match as David Fofana saw a shot saved within the opening twenty seconds of the match, before Alejandro Garnacho blasted over the bar just a minute later.

There were chances a plenty in the opening exchanges with Antony testing Arijanet Muric from distance and Christian Eriksen curling an effort just wide of the Burnley goal. Bruno Fernandes fired against the post and Kobbie Mainoo volleyed just wide from the edge of the box.

United always ran the risk of paying the price for their flurry of missed opportunities and they were almost made to pay when Wilson Odobert forced a fingertip stop from Andre Onana and Lyle Foster scuffed an effort well over the bar.

Vincent Kompany's side grew into the game as the half went on and would have taken the lead if not for a superb reactionary stop from Onana to keep out Foster's header. He was needed again shortly afterwards as he denied Foster again, this time from a one-on-one.

It was a theme that continued after the break, as Burnley carved open the porous United defence with ease, while Ten Hag's missed a glorious chance of their own as Antony fired tamely at goal after excellent work from Alejandro Garnacho on the wing.

United were well on top as they went in search of a winner, with Garnacho firing one effort wide of the far post and then firing another at goal that produced a fine stop from Muric.

In the end, they would eventually be gifted their goal, as a stray pass from Sander Berge gave the ball to Antony, who ran straight into the box and finished into the far corner of the net.

United looked on course to make it back-to-back wins before a reckless challenge from Onana on Zeki Amdouni conceded a late penalty, which the Burnley forward finished with ease.

Here is how we rated the United players in the draw...

1 . Andre Onana - 7 His entire season summed up in one performance. A number of important stops to keep United in the game during the first-half. Produced one of the saves of the season to claw out Lyle Foster's header. The he undid his hard work by conceding a needless penalty.
2 . Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 6 He dealt well with the Burnley attacks that came his well but didn't do too much going forward. Should have done better when he received the ball on the edge of the opposition box.
3 . Casemiro - 6 The Brazilian coped well with the physical threat of the Burnley attack amid little protection from midfield. Made some good recovery tackles to keep his side in the game.
A colossal at the back once again. Made a string of important interceptions to deny Burnley what would have been clear scoring opportunities.
4 . Harry Maguire - 7 A colossal at the back once again. Made a string of important interceptions to deny Burnley what would have been clear scoring opportunities.
