With just four days to go before the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash, Borussia Dortmund has expressed its frustration with Paris Saint-Germain’s decision to limit the allocation of tickets for visiting fans.
The German club’s management is particularly upset about PSG’s decision to reduce the away team’s ticket allocation from 5% of the stadium’s total capacity to 4%, citing security concerns. This reduction means that approximately 500 fewer tickets will be available to Dortmund fans.
Borussia Dortmund’s ire is further fueled by the high price of tickets for the match at the Parc des Princes. The club’s supporters have raised concerns about the affordability of the tickets, and negotiations between the two clubs have so far been unsuccessful in reaching an agreement.
According to German media outlet Bild, Borussia Dortmund is considering filing a complaint with UEFA if no resolution is reached. The club’s frustration is compounded by the fact that they will be hosting a contingent of 4,000 Parisian fans in the first leg, including 1,500 CUP members who paid €18.50 for their tickets.
The tension between the two clubs is adding an extra layer of intrigue to this highly anticipated Champions League semi-final clash. It remains to be seen whether the issue of ticket allocation will be resolved before the first leg, or whether it will continue to simmer and potentially affect the atmosphere on the pitch.
