Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes the club will struggle to keep Michael Olise amid claims he would consider a move to Manchester United.
Recent reports have claimed that the winger is interested in the idea of moving to Old Trafford this summer if United submitted a bid. The 22-year-old was linked with a move to Chelsea last summer but opted to sign a contract extension at Selhurst Park instead.
It has been rumoured that Palace would not consider bids under £60million for Olise or Eberechi Eze. Eagles boss Oliver Glasner admitted on Friday that he remained hopeful both players would stay at the club, but that discussions over their futures are yet to take place.
And Jordan has shared his view that Palace have a battle on their hands when it comes to Olise and Eze, with both said to be attracting transfer interest from elsewhere.
“The challenge he [Glasner] has got, of course, is that everyone is going to be looking at Olise and [Ebere] Eze and that is a big challenge for Palace," he told talkSPORT. "If they lose them, who do they replace them with?"
“What would I do? I think you’re probably in a situation where Michael Olise signed a new contract last year predominantly to protect Palace’s value in the next set of negotiations. And Eze, I think, you’re not going to be able to hold him back.
“So what would I do? I would want to wring every single last penny out of the purchasers to get the value for Palace. If someone like West Ham came knocking on my door, they can sling their hook. The player won’t have that enormous, head-turning moment.
“But if Man United come, or Liverpool or Arsenal come, the player forms part of the problem because he then goes; ‘Well, I love it here but I want to go to this bigger football club. Now, I want to go.”
