Tottenham Hotspur’s home kit for the 2024/25 campaign has been leaked for the first time just earlier this week.
It was yet another weekend to forget on Tyneside for Tottenham as the Lilywhites suffered yet another painful defeat against Newcastle United.
Ange Postecoglou‘s side were unable to show any resilience against the Magpies and were sent back to London red-faced for the second season in a row.
Adding to that, Aston Villa were able to seal a sensational win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday which saw Spurs slip out of the top four.
Champions League football is still very much a possibility, but Spurs will have to do it the hard way now with some seriously tough fixtures coming up.
Whether Spurs will have the Champions League badge on their shirts next season is a big question now.
However, their home kit for next season has now been leaked for the first time ahead of the summer.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was built for elite European football, but whether the players can provide it now is looking a real difficult ask.
The Lilywhites saw record revenue takings in their latest financial report which concluded in the year ending 30 June 2023.
Daniel Levy revealed the club had broken the £500m+ milestone in revenue for the first time in the club’s history.
And this is what the new stadium has allowed Tottenham to do in providing the club with a multi-use facility which has become a revenue-generating machine.
A big chunk of the revenue brought in to Tottenham will be from their multi-year kit deal with Nike.
Tottenham are one of the club’s who are considered Nike’s ‘elite’ and they will certainly sell their fair share of Heung-min Son shirts worldwide.
And now it seems there has been a first look handed to fans of their upcoming home kit for the 2024/25 campaign.
According to the reliable kit source, Footy Headlines, Tottenham will yet again have an almost blank canvas white home shirt which is only accompanied by navy collar trim and some detailing on the sleeves.
The shorts look set to return to the traditional navy after donning white shorts this season.
They will also be incredibly plain with a similar trim detail which is seen on the shirt sleeves.
Saturday offered Spurs with the opportunity to really put some pressure on Aston Villa in the race for the top four.
Instead, they left the door wide open and took the pressure off Unai Emery’s side ahead of their game to the Emirates.
Of course, Villa beating Arsenal will please the majority of Spurs fans, however, it is leaving Spurs with a huge task to overturn their deficit now with the games they have coming up.
After the game on Saturday, Postecoglou remained positive despite the heavy defeat and claimed it is part of the club’s rebuild.
“The same as every other game. There’s no point sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. There’s another game in two weeks. We’ve just got to get ready for that. It’s not the first time it’s happened to us and it won’t be the last,” he said.
“It’s part of our growth. Sometimes that growth is painful. That’s part of it and you’ve just got to embrace it, use it and get ready for the next challenge.”
