Bayern Munich without three key players vs Arsenal as new injury confirmed after Harry Kane risk

Arsenal injury news as the Gunners watch on with late Bayern Munich fitness issues cropping up for Thomas Tuchel ahead of huge Champions League clash

Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that two of his star players will be missing for the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal on Wednesday. The Gunners are attempting to reach the final four for the first time since 2006 and were able to ensure that there is plenty to fight for in Germany as well after drawing 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium last week.

Mikel Arteta will have a near-fully fit squad for the game after the entirety of his team trained at the Sobha Realty Training Complex on Tuesday. Outside of Jurrien Timber it is expected that the group will all be available to play at the Allianz Arena.

Thomas Tuchel hasn't been so lucky. Along with losing Alphonso Davies to a suspension for reaching the yellow card threshold, he has also seen two of his key attackers drop out with injury. Kingsley Coman suffered a damaging adductor muscle problem and was ruled out after being taken off against Koln on Saturday.

"The big downside to the whole game is the injury to Kingsley Coman," the German head coach explained. "It makes me very sad because I know how hard he worked and how important he is for us."

Bayern will also be without Serge Gnabry after he failed to last the course against his former side in north London. He scored the equaliser on the night but will now be sidelined for the return fixture on Wednesday.

Leroy Sane was also a doubt and had to be taken off against Koln having started in attack. He is set to pushed to his limits despite fitness worries. "Leroy can play if he bites his teeth," Tuchel said on Tuesday to reporters. "Serge and Kingsley are unavailable so Leroy has to bite his teeth."

Manuel Neuer also raised alarm after missing the win as he was replaced in the side by backup goalkeeper Sven Ulreich. Tuchel has confirmed that Neuer is available to play, though. Sacha Boey is not as lucky and the ex-Arsenal target is expected to miss most of the rest of the season.

Right-back Bouna Sarr is also out having picked up an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury in December. Unfortunately for Arsenal, their nemesis Harry Kane is fit to play.

He scored a penalty in the first leg to give Bayern the lead and then was involved for another 90 minutes of Bundesliga action at the weekend. "I think for me personally it’s something that’s build up more from the outside," he said ahead of playing his favourite opposition once more.

"I had a lot of history with Arsenal playing with Spurs and the North London Derby was the biggest game of the Premier League season. I have a different team here and my focus is on beating Arsenal. I’m sure a lot Spurs fans will be wanting us beat Arsenal tomorrow but I just have to focus on beating the team in front of me."
