Ansu Fati has named one Manchester City player he thinks is better than Angel Di Maria.

The Spaniard is currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion from Barcelona.

Having experienced what it’s like to play in Spain and in England, the winger has now picked one current City player he feels is better than another player who has played for two big clubs in the Premier League and La Liga.

In a recent video shared on the Pro Direct Soccer TikTok channel where he had to blind rank 10 random past and present footballers, Fati put Kevin De Bruyne in the number one spot, ahead of Di Maria in second place.

At the age of 36, Di Maria has made 765 club appearances in total for clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

Across those games, the winger has scored 178 goals, provided 266 assists and won numerous domestic and European trophies.

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the greatest ever Premier League players

In 375 games for City, who paid £54m to sign De Bruyne back in 2015, the midfielder has scored 101 goals and supplied 166 assists prior to tonight’s Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Belgian has also won five Premier League titles during his time with the Blues and could add a sixth at the end of this current campaign.

Back in February, former Chelsea and City player Frank Lampard, who was one of the first eight inductees into the Premier League Hall of Fame, said that De Bruyne is one of the best midfielders in top-flight history.

Therefore, even though Di Maria has had a great career, we feel that De Bruyne’s efforts in England make it understandable that Fati rates him higher than the Argentine.
