Fans are ripping into Bukayo Saka because of what he did in the final moments of Arsenal vs Bayern Munich.
The Gunners had their Champions League dream dashed at the Allianz Arena courtesy of a second half Joshua Kimmich header which sealed a 1-0 win for Thomas Tuchel's men, and a 3-2 win on aggregate.
Arsenal pushed desperately for an equaliser in the closing stages, but a quickfire double gaffe by Saka threw a spanner in the works. The 22-year-old was fouled on the edge of the box with seconds remaining, and controversially decided to play a quick-free kick which didn't pay off.
Fortunately for the Englishman, Arsenal won a corner, which Saka ran over to take. But to the dismay of Gunners fans, he failed to clear the first man and the referee blew for full time a few seconds later.
"Saka f***ed up the last minute free kick and then hit the first man on the corner, fml," one supporter moaned on X. Another raged: "What is Saka playing at? Completely wasted our last two chances with stupid decisions."
"Saka always folding when his team needs him, ngl at least he’s always on brand and consistent," wrote another fan, while a fourth moaned: "When his team needed him most Saka makes a selfish decision and fluffs a corner. What a waste of space man."
Saka was largely ineffective all evening, though in truth it was a game of few chances.
