Casemiro spent nine years at Real Madrid before leaving them for Manchester United in 2022.

The midfielder has been a regular under Erik ten Hag since the start of last season and even though the Red Devils have struggled this season, he’s happy with his decision to move to Old Trafford.

El Chiringuito had a chat with the 32-year-old and he spoke on various topics, including his move from Real Madrid to Manchester United, and his comments are relayed by Marca.

On his life in England, he said: “Everything is going very well, everything is perfect. The Premier League is incredible, it is very nice to play in it. The family’s adaptation is also going well… Everything is great.”

The Brazil international had a successful spell with the Spanish giants as he won 18 trophies, which includes five Champions League and three league titles. Since moving to Manchester United, he’s won only the EFL Cup last season.

Having won the fifth Champions League with Real Madrid in 2022, he made a decision to leave the La Liga side.

“I decided to leave a little after winning the Champions League. I already saw that my time at Madrid was over, I was at a good age to leave, I wanted to continue growing. The decision was not easy at all, people loved me a lot,” Casemiro explained.

The South American has also revealed that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti wasn’t in favour of his exit. The Italian’s reaction made him hesitate a bit over joining Manchester United, before deciding to go ahead with the transfer.
