Felipe Anderson turns down lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to return to Brazil

Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson has recently made his decision about his future, opting to return to his home country of Brazil rather than pursue lucrative offers from Europe and the Middle East, according to TMW. After his contract with Lazio expired, Anderson had the option to stay in Europe with Juventus or move to Saudi Arabia with Al Shabab. However, he ultimately chose to sign with Palmeiras, a Brazilian club, on a contract that will keep him there until December 2027.

Al Shabab, a club in the Saudi Pro League, had made a concrete offer for Anderson in recent months. The club was willing to offer Anderson a net salary of €10 million per season, a significant sum that would have made him one of the highest-paid players in the league. However, Anderson ultimately decided to reject the offer and return to Brazil.

Anderson’s decision to return to Brazil was likely influenced by a number of factors, including a desire to be closer to his family and friends and to play in his home country. He may also have been attracted to the challenge of playing for Palmeiras, one of the most successful clubs in Brazil.
