After unveiling his brand new £3.5million mansion last month, Mark Wright has now revealed that he’s built a massive football pitch in his garden.

The Towie star and former footballer, husband to ex-Corrie star Michelle Keegan, celebrated the completion of their ginormous new home back in August.

Since then, the loved-up couple have shown off the facilities at their lavish Essex home: a barn for horses, a beautiful garden, and a huge swimming pool.

They even found time to give their followers a glimpse at some brand new garden plant pots which might be the biggest plant pots we’ve ever seen.

And now, the pièce de résistance is complete, with Mark now able to have a kickabout in his own back garden – the football pitch is complete.

On Instagram, he posted a video of himself scoring goals in the bright sunshine, saying he was ‘buzzing’ to finally have the final piece of the house finished.

‘Buzzing to say the least, the goals are set up, having what I love to do most at home!,’ he said, sharing the short clip with his 1.8 million followers.

He then reflected on how long he’s loved football for, saying ‘Had my first goal in my garden when I was a little boy. They say you never lose the love.’

Mark played for West Ham, Arsenal, and Tottenham’s youth teams between 1994 and 2005, before playing over 60 games for six clubs at non-league level.

He gave up his football career when he was announced as one of the last cast members of The Only Way is Essex, which he appeared in for three years.

In 2021, he briefly resumed his playing career when he signed for League Two side Crawley Town, but only played the first half of one game after his return.

Last week, Mark revealed that wife Michelle had convinced him to change an aspect of the living room, adding doors to the walkway into the living room.

He commented on the decision that was ultimately made by Michelle: ‘I think the missus, as always, was right on this one. That has literally changed the game.’
