Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea have been linked with Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea are now showing interest in signing Aaron Ramsdale from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation of the £120,000-a-week (The Daily Mail) England international goalkeeper.

The report has claimed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta dropping Ramsdale for David Raya for the Premier League match against Everton this past weekend has thrown the future of the 25-year-old into doubt.

The Daily Mail has added that former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper despite signing two new players for that position in the summer transfer window.

The Blues sold Edouard Mendy, while Kepa Arrizabalaga moved to Real Madrid on loan in the summer of 2023.

Chelsea signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton and Hove Albion and brought in Đorđe Petrović from the New England Revolution.

Arsenal should not sell Aaron Ramsdale to Chelsea

In our view, Arsenal should not sell Aaron Ramsdale to Chelsea.

We do not think that the Gunners will even entertain the idea of losing Ramdale in the January transfer window.

If any transfer is to happen, it will be in next summer.

We believe that Arsenal should not sell Ramsdale.

The 25-year-old does make occasional mistakes, but he is a player who fits into the way that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta plays his football.

The goalkeeper is good with his feet, distributes the ball well, and is a good shot-stopper.

Like all players, there is room for Ramsdale to improve, but that does not mean that the Gunners should get rid of him.

Ramsdale has made 151 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The goalkeeper has kept 37 clean sheets and has given one assist in those games.
