Thiago Silva posts brilliant eight-word Instagram post after Chelsea thrash West Ham on Sunday

Thiago Silva has put out a brilliant Instagram post following Chelsea’s demolition win against West Ham on Sunday.

Chelsea thrashed London rivals West Ham by a 5-0 scoreline this afternoon, which is a result that’s temporarily lifted them up to seventh in the Premier League table. Manchester United do have the chance to leapfrog them when they travel to Crystal Palace on Monday night, though.

The Blues continued their strong home form at Stamford Bridge by brushing aside West Ham. In fact, it’s now four consecutive victories in the league at home (West Ham, Tottenham, Everton, Manchester United).

Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson (two) were all on the scoresheet at the weekend.

Thiago Silva post that Chelsea fans will love

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, 39, returned from injury on Sunday and went straight back into the starting XI.

It was quite a comfortable display in defence from the veteran Brazilian centre-half. In fact, he even grabbed himself an assist to create Madueke’s goal.

He’s uploaded a post on Instagram this evening that Blues supporters will adore.

Silva wrote: “How great it is to be a blue!!”

Silva bowing out in style

It’s been confirmed Silva’s leaving Stamford Bridge this summer after four fantastic years in west London.

If you see the way Silva strutted about the pitch today against West Ham, it makes you think he could have played into a fifth season if parties agreed it.

He’s played 35 games and counting in this final campaign as a Chelsea player. There’s no doubt he goes down as a proper cult hero.
