Chelsea should consider making bid for ‘unstoppable’ Man Utd star, his future is reportedly in doubt

Last summer, Manchester United raided Premier League rivals Chelsea, taking Mason Mount from them.

Mason Mount was one of Chelsea‘s star players, but having entered the final year of his contract, the club had little choice but to sell him.

Fast forward to now, and the Blues could perhaps have the chance to land a key member of United’s squad.

And looking at Chelsea’s current roster of players, he could actually be the perfect signing for Mauricio Pochettino‘s side.

Chelsea’s current squad

This is a very young and inexperienced Chelsea squad. That explains why the Blues find themselves ninth in the Premier League table.

You would also have to ask has everyone pulled their weight at Stamford Bridge this season?

For example, while Cole Palmer has scored 19 goals in the English top flight, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk have managed just six and four respectively.

Mudryk is one of the club’s most expensive signings of all time. It is really not enough.

Chelsea should consider making bid for Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has probably not done enough this season either, with the forward scoring just seven times in the Premier League.

However, the 26-year-old would still easily be an upgrade on someone like Mudryk on the left wing and has a much better track record than him.

The last campaign was obviously a much better one for Rashford. Across all competitions he managed to score 30 goals.

“He is actually unstoppable,” Erik ten Hag told MUTV after one of Rashford’s performances during the 2022/23 season.

Failing to replicate those kind of displays this term, though, according to The Telegraph, United are now open to selling the England international if a credible offer arrives for him.

With the current left wing options Chelsea have, they should be all over Rashford, who could also come in and play up front for the Blues.
