David de Gea has posted a video of himself training on social media following his exit from Manchester United.
WHAT HAPPENED?
De Gea, who has been without a club since leaving Old Trafford last summer, has fuelled speculation that he could be nearing a return to professional football after posting a video of himself training on social media.
The Spanish shot-stopper added the caption 'We remember. We rebuild. We come back stronger' to the video, followed by a heart emoji.
The video was reportedly shot at local National League side Altrincham Town.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 33-year-old has regularly been linked with moves to various teams, although his wage demands after earning around £ 375,000 per week at United are said to be a stumbling block.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia have been credited with an interest, as well as Newcastle United after Nick Pope was ruled out for the remainder of the 2023/24 season through injury. Although, nothing is yet to materialise.
The latest club to be linked with a move are Real Betis in La Liga.
WHAT NEXT FOR DE GEA?
Whether or not De Gea will be able to return to his finest form after taking a year out of professional football, remains to be seen.
The experienced goalkeeper remains a solid option for many teams to turn to as a free agent, if they are willing to meet his wage demands.
