We simulated Arsenal vs Bournemouth to get a Premier League score prediction

Arsenal take on Bournemouth in the Premier League later today, so we simulated the clash to try and predict the outcome

Arsenal's Premier League title challenge continues later today, with the Gunners playing host to Bournemouth in the early kick-off at the Emirates.

With three Premier League games to go, all Arsenal can do is win and hope Manchester City drop points, with their title rivals taking on Wolves. Spirits are high in the Arsenal camp heading into the Bournemouth clash though, with Mikel Arteta's side picking up big wins against rivals Chelsea and Tottenham in their last two league games.

Three points for Arsenal would keep them top of the Premier League for another week at least, with City not playing their game in hand until May 14 against Spurs. Bournemouth have lost just two of their last 10 games, though they were no match for the Gunners in the meeting earlier this season, with Arteta's side winning 4-0 on the south coast.

So, how could the clash between Arsenal and Bournemouth play out? Let's take a look.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth simulated to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Arsenal could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Partey, Odegaard, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard.

We predict that Bournemouth could line up in a 4-4-2 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Travers; Smith, Senesi, Kelly, Outarra; Scott, Cook, Christie, Kluivert; Unal, Solanke.

Arsenal got off to the perfect start at the Emirates, with Leandro Trossard cutting in off the left to curl a wonderful strike into the far corner to put the Gunners a goal ahead just four minutes in. With the early goal and domination, you'd expect Arsenal to start running away with it, but in the 16th minute, Bournemouth levelled the score.

Dominic Solanke challenged William Saliba for a cross at the back post where the defender was judged to have fouled the Bournemouth man, and Solanke stepped up to take the resulting penalty, sending David Raya the wrong way to make it 1-1. After the equaliser, Arsenal regained control and the lead just before half time.

A turnover in possession saw Arsenal hit the visitors on the break, with a long ball forward from Martin Odegaard picking out Trossard down the left. The Belgian found Thomas Partey in the middle who flicked the pass towards Bukayo Saka, and the Englishman was able to curl the ball around the 'keeper and into the net for 2-1.

After going behind for a second time, Bournemouth seemed to lose some confidence as Arsenal controlled possession, with the game playing out like a training match at times. Some nice passing moves were almost finished off with Kai Havertz guilty of missing a few chances, but with 10 minutes to go, the Gunners grabbed another to all but confirm the three points.

Ben White exchanged passes with Saka on the right before bursting into the box with possession, and his cross was fired towards goal by Trossard, but the 'keeper was down quick to make a good save. Declan Rice pounced on the rebound to keep the attack going, and he picked out Trossard again who made no mistake with his second strike from a few yards out.

Substitute Emile Smith Rowe came close to adding a fourth in the 92nd minute when he surged through one-on-one with the 'keeper, but the Englishman's shot rattled the post as Arsenal picked up a big win at the Emirates.

EA FC 24 predicted final score: Arsenal 3-1 Bournemouth
