Arsenal star Bukayo Saka may have annoyed a few West Ham United fans after what he has said about Declan Rice.

The midfielder swapped the London Stadium for the Emirates in 2023 for a club-record £100 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

Rice has been a sensational player since his arrival. He is arguably the signing of the season, and if we go on to win the Premier League, he will be one of the biggest reasons why.

West Ham fans have had a real problem with Arsenal since we signed Rice last summer. They just don’t like us, and now, that anger may increase.

Saka has joined Arsenal fans in saying something that will surely rub West Ham fans the wrong way.

What Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has said about Declan Rice

Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice started against Bournemouth on Saturday, and both of them got on the score sheet.

The Arsenal number seven converted the penalty after Kai Havertz was fouled inside the box. Rice then sealed the game in stoppage time by scoring a brilliant goal.

The former West Ham man picked up an assist as well, threading through a Lionel Messi-esque pass to Leandro Trossard to score.

Rice deservedly won the Player of the Match award for his performance against Bournemouth.

Mikel Arteta was absolutely delighted with his performance and so were his teammates.

After the game, when the England midfielder took to Instagram to celebrate his goal, assist, the award and the win, Bukayo Saka sent him a message.

“He’s only half price,” he wrote, echoing what the Arsenal fans were singing after the full-time whistle.

Many West Ham fans, including manager David Moyes himself, claimed when Arsenal signed him that the Hammers should’ve demanded more money.

To see people calling Rice a bargain now must really annoy them.

Declan Rice’s stats vs Bournemouth are so good

Declan Rice produced a phenomenal display for Arsenal against Bournemouth on Saturday. Ian Wright claimed he was the difference-maker.

The Englishman was incredible at both ends of the pitch, and the Cherries couldn’t get near him at times, especially in the first half.

In his 90 minutes on the pitch, Rice had 65 touches of the ball and completed 44 of his 49 attempted passes, maintaining an excellent 90 per cent passing accuracy.

Along with his goal and an assist, he registered three key passes, which is fantastic for someone who played as a box-to-box midfielder.

Sofascore gave Rice an 8.4/10 rating for his performance against Bournemouth, better than everyone else on the pitch apart from Kai Havertz.

We’re so happy Rice plays for Arsenal now.
