‘I can’t believe it’… Neymar and Marcelo now react to news just breaking out of Chelsea

Footballing legends Neymar and Marcelo took to social media to react to news that was coming out of Chelsea yesterday.

The Blues are set to be busy as far as incomings and outgoings go this season, whether they qualify for European football for next season or not.

They are currently sitting in 7th place, although even this has been reported to not be enough as far as securing Mauricio Pochettino’s future goes.

One player who is now already set to leave the club this summer is Thiago Silva, with it being confirmed last week that his time at Stamford Bridge was coming to an end at the end of his contract.

His emotional goodbye saw him hint to many that his time at the club was not over yet, suggesting he may be set to return in a coaching capacity in the future.

However, it was confirmed yesterday that his next club had already been decided, and he was going to return to Brazil to join Fluminense at the end of the season.

Neymar and Marcelo happy for Thiago Silva

After confirming the news on his own Instagram, Neymar and Marcelo were two of the players who led the excitement over his imminent move.

The winger said: “Let’s go”, while the defender claimed: “I can’t believe it.”

Chelsea need to replace Silva

It remains to be seen how Chelsea look to replace the veteran defender at the end of the season, with him still playing a key role for the first team despite approaching the age of 40.

Experience is the main factor they are going to struggle to replicate without him, although it does present a great opportunity for one of the younger players already in the role to now step up and fill his boots.

This could be the case for Levi Colwill, who has already been handed the armband in his very limited time as a first team at Stamford Bridge.
