Raheem Sterling has trained with his new Arsenal teammates for the first time.

The Gunners signed the England international on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea late on transfer deadline day, and fans are excited to see him in action.

Sterling was banished from training at Chelsea, so we imagined that the Englishman wouldn’t be at his peak fitness level at the moment.

However, we are pleasantly surprised.

Arsenal have released their training footage from Tuesday, and Sterling looks incredibly sharp at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.

His dribbling looks good, his finishing is impressive and he seems to already be understanding how Mikel Arteta’s team attack.

Arsenal fans react after watching Raheem Sterling in training

Sterling is one of the most versatile players in the Premier League. He can play anywhere across the frontline and can be equally effective from all three positions.

That will give Arteta a number of options, and after watching his first-ever training session at Arsenal, Gooners are convinced that he is going to be a star this season.

How Raheem Sterling could become an instant Arsenal hero

Sterling is looking incredibly sharp in training at Arsenal, and that is a really exciting sign.

Tuesday was the Englishman’s first session with his new teammates, and we’re sure he will become even better in the next two weeks.

Sterling’s Arsenal debut is likely to come against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby right after the international break.

We don’t expect the Englishman to start, but if he can come off the bench and score a goal, he will become an instant hero.

It will be interesting to see where Sterling will be used at Arsenal – on the left or right!
