Sam Allardyce has been a well recognised name in English football management over the years, and he’s now shared his experience with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri.
Farhad Moshiri is in the process of selling his stake in Everton to the Friedkin Group.
The Everton takeover is going well and should be completed at some point in January, which will allow the prospective owners to add their touch in January.
It’s been a long time coming for Moshiri, who has been trying to sell Everton on and off for what feels like an absolute age now, with 777 one of the latest failed attempts.
Interestingly, Sam Allardyce has now shared his experience with Moshiri from his time at Everton and it makes for interesting reading.
Sam Allardyce took charge of Everton from November 2017 to May 2018.
He received a lot of hostility from the Everton fanbase as a result of a style of play that was perceived as pragmatic at best and completely dull.
In his 26 games in charge he could only manage a points per game average of 1.42, though it is better than Sean Dyche‘s current record at Goodison Park.
Now, Allardyce has spoken out about his experience with Moshiri at Everton.
Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, he said this.
“I think it just it just needs a new owner now. I think you know like I said you know, I’m a big Farhad Moshiri fan and my experience with him and how much money has been put into Everton, sadly far too much of it wasted, but he gave it he gave it his best shot.”
The early signs are good for the Friedkin Group, certainly with what they’ve already doing and have planned at Everton, getting all their ducks in a row before they take over.
Dane Murphy has already been eyed as a potential hire for the Friedkin Group, and would be involved at Everton should he get the role like Edu is about to do with Evangelos Marinakis.
Of course, the new stadium is the big one for the Friedkin Group as they know it can be a real money generator, like we’ve seen already with the links to hold an Ashes Test in the future.
However, the managerial situation could be next on the agenda if Sean Dyche loses to West Ham United, as there’s pressure building behind the scenes.
