Chelsea striker who scored two goals this season is now set to leave the club permanently in the summer

Chelsea are looking to generate cash from player sales in the summer before they can add to their squad.

Chelsea will look to offload striker Armando Broja this summer as they attempt to generate cash and free up the wage bill in anticipation of further incomings in the summer, LondonWorld has been told.

The 22-year-old made 19 appearances for Chelsea scoring two goals before heading out on loan to Fulham in January where he's bagged only one goal since.

The Albania international was also a target for Wolves and AC Milan during the winter transfer window and will not be short of interest in the summer.

The Blues have also not entirely ruled out the sale of midfielder Conor Gallagher who has been brilliant this season despite all the uncertainty surrounding his future.

In a season that has been dominated by injuries, the Blues have managed to reach the final of the League Cup, and the semi-final of the FA Cup and are seventh on the league table with a good chance of securing some form of European football for the next season.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino who has been under pressure for large parts of the campaign has had to deal with having just one striker for the entire campaign after the departure of Broja for Fulham but he recently praised Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson who’s led the line very well.

Pochettino said about his 13-goal striker: "First season is always difficult for all the players, especially when you are a striker and need to perform and score goals. Everyone expects you to score a goal with every touch.

"He is our main striker, the only striker we have fit because [Christopher] Nkunku nearly didn't play the whole season, [Armando] Broja also then moved to Fulham because he wanted to play more. [Jackson] is doing fantastic.”

Chelsea will now travel to Nottingham Forest this weekend looking for a win that will consolidate their European spot, and crank up the pressure on both Newcastle in sixth and Tottenham in fifth on the league table.
