Arsenal fans hoping to see Fulham take points off Manchester City this weekend have been given a window into the intensity of their training regime - and it doesn't appear to be particularly strenuous.

Mikel Arteta's side currently top the table, in their quest to win the club's first Premier League title in 20 years, but City remain in the driving seat, only a point behind and with a game in hand.

The Gunners will be hoping their north London rivals Tottenham can do them favour when their meet Pep Guardiola's side next Tuesday but beforehand, City travel to Craven Cottage where Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat in December.

But Arsenal fans believing Fulham will be a stern test for the defending champions had their hopes dashed when striker Raul Jimenez posted footage of his team-mates Willian, Andreas Pereira and Rodrigo Muniz flying kites at the their training ground.

Supporters were understandably crushed by the apparent 'on the beach' behaviour exhibited by key members of Marco Silva's side, with one writing on X: 'We’re praying to the lord they get a result out of city and they’re in training flying kites??? Kmt.'

Another said: 'This is the team we need to beat or draw to city man we’re so cooked.

'Arsenal fans, it’s over.' Commented another user. Another wrote: 'Our hopes are pinned on these guys.'

The Gunners continued their brilliant form in 2024 with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon. The victory took them four points clear of City before their dominant 5-1 victory over Wolves dampened spirits in the north of London.

Fulham's form of late has been inconsistent. Silva's side are well clear of the drop zone and as a result have had nothing to play for for several weeks. They have won two of their last eight matches but none in their last three.

City have the chance to climb to the top of the table on Saturday with a win in London. The Gunners will get their chance to reclaim top spot when they face Manchester United at Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

'I feel nauseous,' joked one fan.' Another fan said: 'I don’t think there’s a bigger sign of a team being on the beach when our players are flying kites in training.

'Arsenal fans it’s so over for you.' A third user wrote: 'Gotta feel sorry for Arsenal. Not only City gonna win but goal difference will be clawed back.'

Another user joked: 'It’s been a great season we made some nice memories See you all next season.'
