Cristiano Ronaldo has responded to Antonio Rudiger ranking him as Real Madrid’s GOAT, with the Portuguese having hit 450 goals for the Blancos.

  • Nine years spent at Santiago Bernabeu
  • Won 15 trophies in that time
  • Broke countless records to become a legend

WHAT HAPPENED?

Cristiano Ronaldo Champions League Real Madrid

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner spent nine memorable years at Santiago Bernabeu between 2009 and 2018. In that time he won two La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns, while also becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ronaldo will forever be lauded as a legend in the Spanish capital, with it easy to argue that he is the greatest player to have ever represented the club. There is some serious competition there, dating back to the likes of Alfredo Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas, while plenty of iconic figures have represented the Liga giants in more recent times.

DID YOU KNOW?

While casting an eye over some of those, current Blancos star Rudiger has pieced together a top five of all-time greats. He put Brazilian striker Ronaldo in fifth, Sergio Ramos fourth, Raul third and Zinedine Zidane second. After being selected in first place, CR7 has responded with a clapping hands emoji on social media.

WHAT NEXT FOR RONALDO?

Ronaldo continues to enhance his reputation at 39 years of age, with the evergreen frontman showing no sign of slowing down in the Middle East. He has registered 44 goals this season through 45 appearances for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr – guiding them into the King Cup of Champions final.
