Thomas Tuchel had a moment with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez following Bayern Munich's crushing Champions League defeat.

Bayern were eliminated from the Champions League following their controversial 4-3 aggregate defeat on Wednesday.

The German giants entered the semi-final second leg clash all level after last week's thrilling 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena.

Alphonso Davies, who replaced Serge Gnabry in the first half, fired his side ahead with a thunderous strike in the 68th minute

But Real hit back with two late goals as Joselu made a huge impact off the bench.

The former Stoke City forward pounced on a Manuel Neuer mistake to tap home from close range before scoring another goal from inside the six-yard box to make it 2-1.

Bayern were denied a late equaliser when Matthijs de Ligt's goal was ruled out for offside in the game's biggest talking point.

After the game, De Ligt held nothing back as he angrily hit out at the officiating.

Tuchel also slammed the linesman's call as he made a serious allegation during his post-match press conference.

Despite his anger at the situation and the result, the 50-year-old shared a warm embrace with Perez following the clash.

A video shows the Bayern boss interacting with Real officials in the Bernabeu tunnel before hugging the Spanish giants chief then engaging in a conversation.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Tuchel said the defeat felt like a betrayal.

"There was a disastrous decision from the linesman and the referee. It feels like a betrayal in the end," he said.

"The linesman says sorry but that does not help. To raise the flag in a moment like this...

"The referee sees we get the second ball and we get the shot.

"It's hard to swallow but that's the way it is."

Bayern will go the 2023/24 campaign without a trophy in what will go down as an extremely disappointing season.
