Sergio Aguero has now shared his verdict on if Arsenal can beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners sit top of the English top-flight with two games remaining, with Arsenal travelling to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Manchester United before ending the season at home to Everton.

With City sat one point behind Arsenal but with a game in hand, the north London side will need to see Pep Guardiola’s side slip up at least once if they’re to stand any chance of winning the Premier League, a prospect that is beginning to look unlikely.

And City legend Aguero has now predicted if Arsenal can beat the Manchester giants to the Premier League.

Arsenal predicted to lose the Premier League title to Manchester City

Speaking to The Club, Aguero predicted his former side to best Arsenal in the race for the title, with the retired striker noting that the Gunners won’t be able to match City’s winning run in the final games of this season.

Aguero said when asked who he thinks will win the Premier League this season: “I think Man City maybe win the Premier League because Arsenal have to win every game so I think Man City can do it.”

Whilst Arsenal arguably have the more winnable fixtures remaining this season, having to rely on City slipping up is something that no fan wanted to rely on at this stage of the Premier League campaign.

However, with away trips to Fulham and Tottenham on the horizon for City, Arsenal will be hoping that one of their London rivals can do them the biggest of favours this season by tripping up the Manchester giants.

Arsenal can be proud of what they’ve achieved this season

The last two weeks of the Premier League season will end in either a historic victory for the Gunners or yet another reminder that City rule the roost in England having clinched a fourth title in a row.

Yet no matter what happens to Arsenal between now and the end of the campaign, the north London side can proud of what they’ve achieved this season and how their future looks going forward.

Mikel Arteta has again taken the Gunners up another level a year on from a brilliant year in the Premier League, and Arsenal fans know that silverware and success is on the horizon with this squad.
