A reported Arsenal target’s father has hinted that his son has now ‘agreed’ to join the north London giants in the summer.

The transfer window is just weeks away from opening, with Arsenal expected to spend big as Mikel Arteta looks to improve his squad ahead of the 2024/25 season with a number of signings and sales.

Thomas Partey is reportedly wanted by Saudi Arabian clubs whilst Joshua Zirkzee continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Bologna attacker seemingly high up on Arteta’s summer watchlist.

Yet one rumoured target might have already agreed to join Arsenal later this year.

Ferdi Kadioglu’s father hints that Fenerbahce star has agreed Arsenal move

According to Karar, the father of Fenerbahce defender, Ferdi Kadioglu, has strongly hinted that his 24-year-old son has an agreement in place to join Arsenal, with the Turkish fullback linked with a move to north London.

Regarded as one of the left-backs in the Turkish Super Lig who is also capable of playing at right-back, Kadioglu as a summer signing for Arsenal would tick a lot of boxes for what Arteta is looking for.

Depth in the fullback position is key for Arsenal this summer as the Gunners look to add more competition for Ben White on the right and for Jurrien Timber, who is expected to come back into the starting XI next season.

And with Kadioglu’s father now hinting that a deal is agreed between the £25m-rated defender and Arsenal, there could soon be a concrete update from an official over if a transfer is actually happening.

Kadioglu could be a great squad option for Arteta next season

With three goals and five assists in all competitions, it’s easy to see why Kadioglu is now a target for a club as big as Arsenal, with the defender also playing close to 50 games for Fenerbahce this season.

And if the Dutch-born Turkish international was to make the move to north London this summer, Kadioglu would be a great squad option for Arteta, especially with Arsenal playing more games next season due to the new UEFA Champions League format.

Competition has proven to be a good thing at Arsenal in the last two seasons, and Kadioglu joining the squad could help a number of players raise their level yet again.
