West Ham were not victorious in their last game, but managed to pick up a point against third-placed Liverpool.
They found themselves in the lead just before half-time, thanks to a superb Jarrod Bowen finish, something Chelsea will need to look out for today, but were 2-1 down by the 70th minute.
Michael Antonio came to the rescue for the Hammers, as he scored a late equaliser to take a point home.
Chelsea were absolutely brilliant in their last game against Spurs, in which they came out victorious with a scoreline of 2-0.
The goals were courtesy of a Trevoh Chalobah header, who has been excellent since his return from injury, and another header, this time from Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson.
The latter has struggled with confidence a bit this season, but has shown that he has got all the right tools it takes to be a Premier League striker, it is just about nailing down the finishing consistency.
If he can grab another goal today, it will do him the world of good.
Good evening and welcome to Chelsea vs West Ham, the first instalment of today's football!
This is a fixture we are used to seeing be dominated by the boys in blue, but generally speaking this fixture has been a close one in recent seasons, and it's a crucial game in the European hopes of both teams this time around.
It has been a mixed bag for West Ham this season, but they have generally performed well, sitting five points away from a spot in the Europa Conference league.
They have struggled in the league of late though, with two losses to Fulham and Crystal Palace and a draw to Liverpool in their last three games.
The same can be said for Chelsea in terms of results being mixed, but they have generally been quite good since Christmas, and picked up a great win against Spurs last time out.
Stay tuned as coming right up SunSport will have any breaking news, team updates and the starting sides all before kick off at 2pm.
