Chelsea star Cole Palmer takes first step to making millions after copying Kylian Mbappe

Latest Chelsea news as Cole Palmer continues to bolster his reputation off the pitch with another move to make money away from football

Cole Palmer is looking to trademark his 'ice cold' celebration

Chelsea star Cole Palmer is reportedly aiming to trademark his popular shivering celebration.

According to The Sun, the 22-year-old is looking to make the most of his 'ice cold' celebration. Palmer has become known as 'Cold Palmer' after his celebration sees him motion that he is cold by rubbing his arms and puffing out his cheeks.

The celebration is one that has been witnessed often this season with Palmer scoring 11 goals in 15 Premier League games. The report suggests the Chelsea forward is moving to trademark both the name and celebration.

Documents are said to reveal how Palmer wants to use both the name and celebration to produce products including alcohol, diet drinks, food, clothes, toys, aftershave, cosmetics, razor blades and even cards.

The report also claims that the England international's application to the Government's Intellectual Property Office even includes a video of him doing his celebration. Palmer is director of ‘Palmer Management Limited’.

Palmer first performed the celebration in the 3-2 win at Luton Town in December 2023. Since then, he has performed the popular celebration every time he scored, including the equaliser in England's Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.

He has revealed that the idea came from Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, who is a fellow Manchester City academy graduate, after he celebrated in a similar way when scoring against West Brom with Middlesbrough.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Palmer's move to trademark the celebration follows in the footsteps of other footballers doing the same. Cristian Ronaldo's 'Siu' and Gareth Bale's heart-shaped celebration are both trademarked.

Kylian Mbappe has already trademarked his arms-crossed celebration.
