Orlando Pirates star Patrick Maswanganyi will miss another match having been absent during the Caf Champions League encounter against Al Ahly on Saturday.

Kaizer Chiefs, on the other hand, suffered a defeat against Polokwane City this past weekend without one of their key defenders.

Pirates started the season very well having secured seven successive victories and suffered only one loss in the Premier Soccer League campaign so far. 

The Buccaneers currently occupy second place in the PSL table, tied on 21 points with log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who are on top due to a goal difference.

Meanwhile, Chiefs find themselves in ninth place after garnering only 11 points from eight matches having been inconsistent this season.

WHAT NEXT FOR CHIEFS & PIRATES

Chiefs, who are desperately seeking to turn things around, will be the visiting team against Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Monday, December 16.

Meanwhile, Pirates will host Gallants at the Orlando Stadium on December 24 after taking on Stade d'Abidjan on Saturday in the Caf Champions League.
