Rüdiger fires playful warning at Mbappé ahead of potential Champions League final clash

With the Champions League semi-finals kicking off, there’s a chance we could see a mouthwatering final between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Antonio Rüdiger, the Real Madrid defender, couldn’t resist a bit of banter aimed at Kylian Mbappé, the PSG star, who could be his future teammate… or opponent!

“If we face Mbappé in the final, we’ll beat him. If he dribbles past me, I’ll flatten him!” joked the German in a YouTube interview. It was all lighthearted though, as Rüdiger quickly followed up with praise for the young French forward.

“Kylian’s a special player,” he said. “Winning the World Cup at 18, that’s something else. He could definitely become the best French player ever, although that title right now belongs to Zidane, in my opinion.”

All in good fun, it seems there’s already a bit of pre-match mind games going on between these two Champions League giants!
