Tim Sherwood has predicted Arsenal’s last three games of the season as they bid to pip Manchester City to the Premier League title.

Arsenal face a trip to Old Trafford this weekend and despite Manchester United’s poor form, it’s a place they haven’t fared well over the years.

Indeed, the Gunners have picked up just one win in their last nine visits, which came under Mikel Arteta back in November 2020. The north Londoners will then host Everton on the final day of the season.

With just two games left to play, Arsenal sit a point ahead of reigning champions Manchester City but Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.

The Gunners are relying on City to slip up along the way but will be fully aware of the need to win their remaining games.

Now, Tim Sherwood has delivered his verdict on the run-in for both Premier League title contenders.

Sherwood predicts Arsenal’s final two games

Speaking on talkSPORT, Sherwood backed both Arsenal and City to win their remaining games, meaning Guardiola’s side would pick up their fourth consecutive title.

He said: “The smart money suggests there won’t be [another twist]. I think both teams have been magnificent and they go on and win all their games.

“I think City do and I also think Arsenal do, which makes City the champions yet again. It’s getting a little bit predictable. It’s so hard for anyone else.

“Arsenal have done so well to get there. There is no bottling it this year. You can’t even bring that up, that’s not even in the equation. They have done so well to get close but they just have a juggernaut in Man City, every single year just seems to raise their performance in the run in and it looks like it’s impossible for anyone to catch them but never say never.”

Arsenal relying on Tottenham

Arsenal will be hoping their north London rivals can do them the ultimate favour next week.

On paper, City’s most difficult game will be away to Spurs on Tuesday, which is sandwiched between a trip to Fulham and a home clash against West Ham on the final day.

Guardiola’s side have managed just one win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past five years, which came earlier this season in the FA Cup.

Arsenal will have to get the job done on their end to stand any chance of lifting the title this month. Despite United’s patchy form, it’s likely to be a tricky test for Arteta’s men on Sunday.

But it’s difficult to look past the Gunners, particularly after United were thrashed 4-0 at Crystal Palace on Monday.
