Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has revealed that he loves one Manchester City player after his side’s latest victory.

For the first time in his career, Bellingham ended up on the winning side when facing City.

The Englishman was one of the players who delivered from the spot-kicks at the Etihad Stadium.

Jude Bellingham’s penalty was cool as ice, as he sent Ederson the wrong way as he calmly slotted the ball in the back of the net.

Real Madrid’s other goalscorers from 12 yards out were Lucas Vazquez, Nacho Fernandez and Antonio Rudiger while Luka Modric missed his penalty.

As for Manchester City, Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden and Ederson Moraes scored while Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic failed to convert from the penalty spot.

After the contest, Rodri aimed a dig at Real Madrid, as he stated that he “only saw one team” during the game.

The Spanish international also admitted that in his view, Manchester City should have qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

However, it seemed like Los Blancos’ night as they dug in, rode their luck and now face Bayern Munich in the semi-final.

As for City, they still have a chance of winning the double, which should excite them.

While the Sky Blues were in contention to win the treble, it was always highly unlikely that they would do so.

Until Saturday when City face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, they now have a chance to rest after a gruelling game of football on Wednesday.

After Real Madrid defeated Manchester City, Jude Bellingham was asked by TV2 Sport [via TikTok] about how he felt about Erling Haaland exiting the competition.

“Your good friend, Erling Haaland is no longer in the competition. We’re from Norwegian TV. Any last words for him?”

“Love him to bits, love him to bits”, Bellingham replied.

Classy response from Jude Bellingham

Despite being determined to beat Manchester City as a Real Madrid player, after the game, Jude Bellingham gave a classy response about Erling Haaland.

It is clear to see how close Bellingham was with Haaland when the pair played together and dominated teams at Borussia Dortmund.

Having been knocked out of the competition in the quarter-finals in the past, the 20-year-old must also empathise with the Norwegian perhaps being distraught after his side’s exit, despite being a happy man.

The footballing world will be hoping that Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland go face-to-face for Real Madrid and Manchester City respectively.
