Chelsea could allow ‘special’ player to leave on loan after making just three starts this season

Chelsea could already be about to loan out one of their summer signings next month.

Chelsea were busy in the last transfer window, bringing in the likes of Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tosin Adarabioyo.

However, because of all of the other options available to Enzo Maresca, the trio have not been regulars in the Premier League this season.

There is already talk about Adarabioyo and Dewsbury-Hall potentially leaving the club in January, though it has been reported that Chelsea want Dewsbury-Hall to remain in west London.

Chelsea could loan out Tosin Adarabioyo

Chelsea signed Adarabioyo from Fulham on a free transfer in June, with the central defender coming in to fill the hole left by Thiago Silva’s exit.

However, while Silva was a key player for Chelsea, Adarabioyo has only been able to make three starts in the Premier League this season.

It now looks like the Blues could be open to the idea of him joining another club temporarily for the second half of the campaign.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea could loan out Adarabioyo when the transfer window opens in January.

In September, Maresca spoke about how Adarabioyo was one of the leaders in the Chelsea dressing room, so the Italian may not be in a hurry to get rid of him.

Is anyone interested in signing Tosin Adarabioyo?

Unsurprisingly, Adarabioyo is thought to be attracting interest from the Premier League.

Last week, it was claimed that West Ham United are keen on signing Adarabioyo on loan.

The former Fulham star is an experienced defender. He is now 27 years of age and has made more than 80 appearances in the Premier League.

When speaking about Adarabioyo last season, Marco Silva described him as a “special” player, as shared by beIN SPORTS.

The above, then, is why Premier League interest in Adarabioyo is not surprising. But with Wesley Fofana’s fitness still a concern and Adarabioyo being one of the more experienced players in Chelsea’s squad, the Blues should probably keep hold of him.
