The 15 Manchester United players most likely to leave this summer as only four stars not for sale

Manchester United have ruled out summer exits for only four players with the club prepared to listen to offers for all other squad members.

Manchester United have told rival clubs to forget about pursuing Andre Onana, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund this summer - but have left the door open on every other player.

It’s unlikely that a Chelsea-style turnover would occur but there could be a significant cull with many players underwhelming for a number of seasons. United were prohibited from spending in January due to fears over breaking Premier League Profit & Sustainability Rules.

Naturally, there will be more headroom this summer thanks to TV and commercial revenue raked in from the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup final but Sir Jim Ratcliffe will make a concerted effort to make the club transfer market leaders once again.

That means refraining from ruling out exits for certain players if the right cash is offered. That said, it would be puzzling to see certain squad members axed.

Diogo Dalot has no intention of leaving United while Lisandro Martinez is United’s best centre-back. Willy Kambwala is surely an investment for the future at 19 years old and the team would be lost without Bruno Fernandes’ goals and assists.

Mason Mount arrived just 12 months ago, as did Altay Bayindir. Marcus Rashford’s future is up in the air but it would be premature to designate him ‘likely’ to leave, as would it be for Jadon Sancho should Erik ten Hag end up departing. Here are 15 players who do fit into that category, though.

Unless he gets any game time assurances, be that from Erik ten Hag or a new manager, Amad could well take his leave. The attacker has played just eight times since coming back from injury in December and has failed to start once. His contract expires next year and the option for an additional year or a total renewal seems slim. Turning 22 this July, he cannot afford to play the waiting game for much longer.1 of 15
Casemiro of Manchester United
His two seasons at United have been night and day, in reverse order. Arguably one of the club’s best players last season, Casemiro’s form has dropped off the edge of a cliff this term. Age is starting to catch up with him at 32 but United may still be able to get something for him given he still has two years left on his initial deal. It’s sell now or get peanuts for the £60m arrival next summer.2 of 15
Perhaps a surprise inclusion for some, and not at all for others. The Dane, also now 32, has played just 18 Premier League games this season, starting just 11. Eriksen can have a telling impact on games but these are getting less frequent and he only has 12 months left on his deal. United would be able to record pure profit on the midfielder - a God-send in light of PSR - given he arrived on a free in 2022.3 of 15
