Celtic star dismisses talk of exit this summer

After a good start at Celtic, the Honduras winger struggled to perform but nevertheless the winger finished the season in Scotland as he began, looking very promising.

Celtic signed the winger from Greek side Aris Thessaloniki last summer after the winger scored 17 goals in 50 appearances for Aris, having previously played for American side Real Monarchs and Vida in his homeland.

In the Scottish Premiership last season, the South American winger scored six goals and provided nine assists for The Hoops, 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

This has led to interest from clubs around Europe but the Honduras star has been quoted about his future at the club and it’s good news for Celtic fans.

“The truth is that this is the first time I’ve heard about offers, I’ve been at Celtic for a year, I’m fine and I have three or four more years,” he said, as per Deportes TvC.

“I have to focus on what’s coming in the season, get back to the level I was at when I arrived.

“Nothing is missing, I think that after the vacation with the family, returning to the club, and the preseason, will be important to become champions again and seek the three titles that we will fight for in the tournament.”

Palma stay big boost for Celtic

Palma certainly proved himself under Rodgers and this is despite only featuring in 50 per cent of the total minutes available.

Back in February, Chris Sutton had some rather harsh words for Palma and the 24-year-old has seemingly taken this on board.

“Luis Palma (has) done okay but has faded and needs to get fitter,” Sutton said. Palma has certainly proved the former Celtic striker wrong so far.
