Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush

Liverpool are now weighing up targeting a transfer for Omar Marmoush this summer but are competing with Tottenham Hotspur. That is according to Bild, which notes that the Reds and Spurs are showing interest in the Eintracht Frankfurt ace as a target to improve their attacks.

Marmoush has put the Merseyside and north London clubs on alert after scoring 11 goals in 27 Bundesliga games this term. The 25-year-old immediately secured a key role at Die Adler after joining in a free transfer last May upon the expiration of his contract for VfL Wolfsburg.

Eintracht Frankfurt are under zero pressure to sell Marmoush to Liverpool or Tottenham this summer. He agreed to sign a contract to June 2027 to go to Deutsche Bank Park. His form has also convinced Die Adler to set a €50m (£43m) price tag to start talks about their striker.

Mohamed Salah has helped Fabio Carvalho ‘a lot’ at Liverpool

Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho says he tries to model his game on Roberto Firmino and Thiago Alcantara but Mohamed Salah is the player who stands out the most for their work ethic. He admires the Egyptian’s dedication and willingness to help young players realise their talents.

Carvalho has just seen out the Championship term on loan with Hull City and enjoyed a vital role in the Tigers’ midfield. The 21-year-old scored nine goals and laid on two assists over 20 second-tier games. But he started this term on loan with RB Leipzig and played 360 minutes.

The Portuguese playmaker will hope his creativity in the Championship now helps Carvalho to establish a role at Liverpool. He has only played in 21 first-team fixtures for the Reds. But learning from Salah at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre has left a big impression on Carvalho.

Carvalho told the Liverpool ECHO: “The best in training for me, like technically, was Firmino or Thiago. I kind of try to emulate my game on how they play. But one that stands out to me was Mo. Just the work ethic, he’s always looking to give me advice.

“Not just me but all [of] the young players who want the advice. I feel like if you work hard, on the pitch or off the pitch, he values that and it goes a long way with him. He takes you under his wing and he’s helped me a lot.”

Liverpool make enquiries to sign Brighton & Hove Albion target Mohamed Amoura

Liverpool have now made enquiries to try and beat Brighton & Hove Albion to a transfer for Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura. That is according to L’Equipe, which notes that Anfield chiefs have recently moved to lodge their interest against considerable rival pursuits.

Amoura has also put Marseille, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg on alert with his form in Belgium. Union SG are also demanding just €20m (£17m) to sell the 23-year-old, who has 23 goals plus seven assists during 44 appearances across all competitions so far this term.

Brighton head the race to sign Amoura, however, as the Seagulls hold a priority option given their close ties to Union SG. But Liverpool have sought to make their interest known and get a clearer picture regarding the 22-cap Algeria international’s situation ahead of the summer.
