There’s been a lot of talk about potential player sales at Newcastle United this summer.

The Tyneside club, much like many of their rivals, are said to be cutting it fine in terms of Profit and Sustainability rules, and a bit of book-balancing may be needed.

Inevitably, this has led to many rumours about which players could leave Newcastle in the coming months.

Speculation has been rampant around many Newcastle players, but perhaps the Newcastle ace who has been most strongly linked with a move away is Alexander Isak.

Arsenal have been credited with a strong interest in Isak, but according to Craig Hope, speaking on his YouTube channel, the Swedish striker isn’t going anywhere and he’s going to get a new deal instead.

Alexander Isak is staying at Newcastle

Hope shared what he knows about Isak.

“Now, I don’t think Alexander Isak is going anywhere. You cannot replace Alexander Isak.

“If you sell Alexander Isak you can’t get a replacement player. They did so well to actually identify him in the first place and get him for a fee of £63m.

“So, no, Newcastle won’t sell Isak, they realise that and there’s going to be a new contract on the way for him.”

Isak is irreplaceable

Newcastle are absolutely right to hang onto Isak at all costs.

Yes, money is important in this game, but a player of this quality is absolutely priceless.

Even if Newcastle sold Isak for over £100m, who could they then sign to be an apt replacement? There’s nobody on the market who is this good or this proven who is available.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Isak is one of the world’s top five strikers, and when you have a player of this ability, you have to keep them no matter how tempting any offers you receive may be.
