Raheem Sterling was Arsenal’s big deadline day signing with the Gunners bringing in the England international on loan from Chelsea.
Despite a disappointing two years in west London, there is a lot of excitement surrounding Sterling’s move to Arsenal, with the winger previously working under Mikel Arteta at Manchester City where the duo won the Premier League title.
With Sterling looking to start against Tottenham for Arsenal after the international break, the 29-year-old is seemingly eager to get going with his new club and to show the world that he’s still one of the best wingers in the Premier League.
And Sterling also has his eyes set on something big with Arsenal.
According to GiveMeSport, Sterling is intent on aiding Arsenal as much as he can in the north London side’s quest to win the Premier League, a title the Gunners have not won in over 20 years.
With Sterling winning the Premier League four times in his incredible career, the England international adds a mentality to Arsenal that the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko brought to the Emirates Stadium in 2022.
Indeed, Sterling is one of the most decorated English players in recent memory during his time with City, and at Arsenal, the winger will want to prove that he can still play a big part for a title-winning side.
Moreover, with Arteta a key figure in Sterling’s career, the former Liverpool star will want to give it all to his former coach, with Arsenal also the ideal club for the 29-year-old to finally get his career back off the ground.
Sterling might not have been Arsenal’s first pick for a new attacker this summer, yet few supporters will be complaining with the addition of the Chelsea man.
The England international has a proven track record as one of the best attackers in the Premier League in the last ten years, with Sterling eager to turn things around at Arsenal after two disappointing seasons at Chelsea.
And with the Premier League title already on Sterling’s radar, the Gunners will want to do all they can to bring the biggest prize in English football back to north London for the first time in two decades.
