AC Milan: Theo Hernandez reportedly agrees to European powerhouse

This summer is shaping up to be quite eventful for our French players. There’s the Euro 2024, where Didier Deschamps’ squad naturally stands as strong contenders. Then, it’s onto the Paris Olympics, where several players we’re used to seeing in the national team could represent the country under Thierry Henry’s guidance. But it all depends on whether their clubs give them the green light or not. And amidst all this, there’s the transfer market, of course.

Several French players are expected to change clubs this summer, starting with Kylian Mbappé, who’s heading to Madrid. Olivier Giroud is bound for California and Los Angeles FC, while others like Jules Koundé might also be on the move. Theo Hernandez, AC Milan’s left-back, is another player likely to be sold.

A Stellar Season in Milan

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, it’s highly likely that Hernandez will continue his career at Bayern Munich, given his impressive season in Lombardy with 5 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. The brother of Lucas has already agreed to join Bayern for a transfer this summer, despite being under contract until 2026. Now, the two clubs must come to terms, although the player, who came through the ranks at Real Madrid, also had other offers on the table.

He’s expected to replace Alphonso Davies, whose future likely lies in Madrid, as all signs point to him not extending his contract (which expires in 2025) and being sold to Real Madrid this summer. At 26 years old, Theo Hernandez will follow in his brother’s footsteps, who also once donned the Munich colors.
