The veteran football administrator joined Babina Noko after parting ways with the Buccaneers in 2023 and was seen with Mokwana in Tunisia.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Sekhukhune United have reportedly fired Floyd Mbele who has been serving as an administrator at the PSL club.
Mbele joined Babina Noko a few months after resigning as Orlando Pirates' administrative manager in 2023.
He is said to be the man behind Kaizer Chiefs' failed bid to sign Elias Mokwana from Sekhukhune in the last South African winter transfer window.
The Bafana Bafana winger ended up joining Esperance de Tunis in Tunisia where he has quickly established himself as a key player.
WHAT WAS SAID
"As per reports, Mbele played a pivotal role in thwarting Kaizer Chiefs’ pursuit of Mokwana, a move that continues to rankle Amakhosi supporters," a FAR Post report read.
"Furthermore, Mbele’s involvement in Mokwana’s subsequent transfer to Esperance raised eyebrows, as he accompanied the player to Tunisia instead of the player’s agent.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mbele, who served as Platinum Stars' chairman between 2012 and 2013, is also believed to have left Sekhukhune after allegedly clashing with coaches and staff members at the club.
“Floyd Mbele has been fired from Sekhukhune after having a fallout with the club’s top management,” a source told FAR Post.
“One of the key reasons for his termination was his challenges in working with the coaches and other staff members.
"The club decided to part ways with him to ensure the well-being of everyone involved, as he was almost impossible to work with. In fact, he was fired a while back."
Sekhukhune could look to fill the void left by Mbele at the ambitious Limpopo side that are under the leadership of chairman Simon Malatji.
WHAT NEXT?
Sekhukhune will be in action this weekend as they take on Chiefs in a PSL encounter.
A win for Babina Noko will see the third-placed side reduce the gap between them and second-placed Pirates to one point in the league standings.
