Man United ready to take financial hit to sell £350,000 a week star as fallout continues
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho remains in exile as the winger publicly criticised Erik ten Hag following the 23-year-old missing the game against Arsenal last month.
The 23-year-old, who joined the club from Borussia Dortmund, has refused to apologise to Erik ten Hag and the winger now seems out in the cold for the Dutchman.
It’s fair to say Jadon Sancho’s struggles have been nobody’s fault but his own and the Englishman has struggled to consistently perform and it now seems his time at Manchester United is coming to an end.
A report today has emerged and it seems United are keen to offload the winger at all costs.
According to a report from ESPN, United are keen to cut their losses on the winger who, according to Spotrac, is earning around £350,000 a week at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils spent £73 million on the former Manchester City academy product during the summer of 2021 but it seems they would be keen to cut their losses if there is no way back for Sancho.
It would be a sad end for the winger who was seemingly desperate to move to Old Trafford when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was manager of the club.
According to the same report, privately, Ten Hag still has some concerns over the attitude of certain members of his squad and Sancho’s punishment has been seen as a warning to these stars.
The former Ajax coach certainly has a lot of autonomy over decisions at Old Trafford and, based on his first 15 months on the job, he has certainly earned that power and control at the club.
Ten Hag may well be the first manager to enact a sense of strong control over the dressing room and, if he carries on improving and winning at Old Trafford, the days of player power leading to the demise of the manager may well be in the past.
