West Ham United could sign Wilfried Zaha when Julen Lopetegui takes over as our new manager.

Wilfried Zaha of Galatasaray is firmly on the West Ham radar, and we have been linked with him on numerous occasions in the past, most recently just last month.

Julen Lopetegui is imminently set to replace David Moyes in the Hammers hot-seat, and is allegedly planning to make six new signings this summer.

West Ham had the chance to sign Zaha in the January transfer window, but David Moyes felt as though he wouldn’t strengthen his squad.

That’s just laughable really isn’t it.

Had we signed the former Crystal Palace man, we may well be inside the top six right now, and still in Europe.

Now though, it seems like Lopetegui may be ready to make up for Moyes’s mistake…

Wilfried Zaha could be 1st signing Lopetegui makes at West Ham

The Ivory Coast international could well be East London bound this summer.

Whilst he’s not as explosive and dynamic as he once was, he’s still a sensational player, and would improve us exponentially.

According to KUMB, Galatasaray winger Wilfried Zaha could be the first signing Lopetegui makes when he’s formally announced as the new Hammers boss.

I would love Zaha at the London Stadium for a season or two.

The 31-year-old joined Galatasaray as a free agent from Crystal Palace in the summer, and he has bagged 10 goals and five assists in 39 games so far for the Turkish giants. During his time with Palace, Zaha racked up 90 goals and 76 assists in 458 games (Transfermarkt).

He is a proven Premier League star and has a reputation of being one of the very best dribblers in the world.

The 31-capped Ivory Coast international is the sort of player who you love if he plays for your club, but hate him if he’s lining up against you! That really is nothing more than a huge compliment to him.

If West Ham sign Wilfried Zaha this summer, we will have a truly terrifying attacking lineup. Hopefully Lopetegui gets this one done…
