Declan Rice makes 'honest' Man City admission with Mikel Arteta set to don pyjamas

Latest Arsenal news and gossip as Declan Rice has made an admission about Manchester City vs Wolves as the Premier League title race continues

Declan Rice has admitted that he will not be watching Manchester City face Wolves this evening.

The Arsenal midfielder helped the Gunners claim a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off. Bukayo Saka, Leandro Rossard and Rice were all on the score sheet at the Emirates Stadium to boost Arsenal's chances of winning the league title.

Mikel Arteta's side are now four points clear of Man City who have two games in hand. The first of those games for Pep Guardiola and Co. is against Wolves this evening at the Etihad Stadium, with the second against Tottenham Hotspur later this month.

After helping Arsenal defeat Bournemouth, Rice was asked about the prospect of Man City closing the gap in the title race. The England international was asked in a post-match interview if he would be watching Man City take on Wolves.

"No, I'm not going to watch," Rice told beIN Sports. "To be honest with you I've not been watching games from other teams for the last few months.

"Maybe if it's on I'll watch it, but I won't purposely sit down and watch it. Because I don't want to put too much energy into that, I want to focus on what we can do and how we can affect games.

"So I'm sure I'll get updates, but I'm not going to sit and watch it."

Arteta was also asked in his post-match press conference if he would be watching Man City vs Wolves this evening when he returns home. The Gunners boss answered: "Yes, I will be there sitting with my kids and my family."

When jokingly asked if he would be wearing a Wolves shirt while watching the game, Arteta replied: "No, pyjamas. Comfy pyjamas."

Arsenal will be hoping that Man City drop points against Wolves to boost their title chances. The Gunners are not in action again until they face Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend in their penultimate Premier League fixture of the campaign before facing Everton on the final day.
