Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has now shared his thoughts on Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Sunday’s North London Derby.

It is the biggest game of the season for both clubs and perhaps made even more so by what is at stake for the pair.

Tottenham find themselves trailing Aston Villa in the race for the top four and could even find themselves nine points behind when they kick off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And as for the Gunners, they will now feel they may need to win every game if they want to get their hands on the Premier League title.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men will not only be hoping to squash Arsenal’s title hopes but they will also be looking to bounce back after a heavy defeat last time out.

The Lilywhites have had a two-week break since their last game which saw Newcastle United embarrass them for the second season in a row on Tyneside.

Going into the game on Sunday in N17, Arsenal will have had much less rest having played on the weekend and last night against Chlesea.

After their emphatic win over Mauricio Pochettino’s side, their midfielder Partey commented on what he is expecting from Tottenham.

What Thomas Partey had to say about Tottenham ahead of North London Derby

Having played two extra games on Spurs, Arsenal are going into the game on the weekend with a 17-point advantage over the Lilywhites.

However, it has been a season of progress for Postecoglou’s side who have impressed on the whole.

There have been some disappointing showings along the way with defeats to Fulham and Newcastle being two of the standout losses.

But Spurs will be keen to make sure Sunday does not go down as one of them with Arsenal having shown Chelsea just what they are capable of on Tuesday night.

Following the win at the Emirates last night, the Ghanian midfielder commented on Postecoglou’s side and the upcoming North London Derby.

The two sides met earlier in the season where Tottenham were able to earn themselves an unlikely point on the road at the Emirates Stadium.

Goals from Heung-min Son saw Spurs earn a draw and Partey has told the Mirror that he is expecting an equally as difficult game.

“Everything depends on us. We have to continue winning our games, we have a few more games left and we have to win them all,” he said.

“We know it is going to be a very difficult game,” Partey added. “We know what to do. I think we have to test them.”

Interesting stat that may provide Spurs fans with hope ahead of Sunday

Ahead of Sunday’s game in north London, Tottenham have been hit by the injury blow to Destiny Udogie.

The Italian has now underwent surgery and will miss the remainder of the campaign with Ben Davies the expected replacement.

Interestingly, the Welshman has never lost a North London Derby at home when he has started.

Spurs may be up against it this time around with Arsenal in such good form, but what a way to deal their title dreams a real blow.
